ieGeek Doorbell Camera Bell J1

In April I had my first experience with IEGEEK products. I was in need of a solar power security camera and purchased ZS-GX2S. I was very impressed with the quality of this product for the last 6-7 months that I would try their new video doorbell. My office needed a way to let people know that a delivery had happened because the packages are often just left at the door. This seemed like the perfect solution. It was wireless and had a bell that could be placed near the receptionist so she would be aware someone or something was at the door. Setup was fairly quick but like others have noted getting the card into the slot was challenging. I was fearful that pushing to hard may break the chip and there is not alot of room to get leverage. I used a no2 pencil, more specifically the back end with the eraser to push the chip in until it locked. Once that was in the rest was easy. Drill a few holes, mount the plate and snap the camera into the base. Done. One other thing, make sure you don't lose the little key that is used to remove the camera from the locking plate. It's not a crisis if you do, (sadly I did) but if you take a small paper clip and straighten it out it works just as good 8)! Testing the doorbell, the image quality was very clear and crisp exactly what you would expect from an IEGEEK product. The actual speaker for the doorbell itself is loud enough to be heard from a fair distance and with walls inbetween. I like that any access ports are covered with rubber plugs to keep the elements out (ie, charging port and sd card port). The illuminated button for the doorbell is a nice touch. It draws the eye to it so you know exaclty what you have to do to make contact with the person inside. Two way comminication is clear and well understood. It's not like ordering drive thru where you can barely understand the person you are speaking to. I'm quite happy with the initial usage. I do think that the voice changer is a good idea for residential but to be honest I think the choices could be made better. I'm not sure a clown voice is really something I would ever use, it's a novelty at best. One thing that I think I would like to see is a solar powered recharging option. I'm not sure how this would be implemented but I would think some kind of narrow solar panel around the exterior would work. I only say this because I don't like taking things apart once I put them in place. To recharge the doorbell you have to use the included power cable and use some kind of extension chord or take the doorbell out of the security case and charge it in the house/office. It's not a big deal, as I said I prefer not to take things apart once I put it in place. Overall I think this product meets all my needs and I could see myself getting another one for the house, once I use this one for a few months, but I expect it to be the same quality as the IEGEEK outdoor camera that I already have been using.

This is the best doorbell camera ive seen so far,the night vision is pretty an clear and can see perfectly,battery life is great last up to a week or more once fully charge. The camera uses type c charger and charges very quickly. It also send an alert the form of a call once the door bell is rung or it picks up motion of any kind , i love the features that allow u to take pictures and screenshots of the videos, you can also screen record from a video. And saves it to the cloud this is an awesome camera guys trust me its worth the buy .

I purchased the product for camera range and Alexa-enabling. After installing the product without issue, I had issues connecting to Alexa. ieGeek's support worked really hard to help me but it seemed all was lost, until I realized the little nuance that almost ruined my good thing - "USA."

This doorbell camera is excellent. The quality is great and installation was simple. One of the best thing about this camera is that we don't need a subscription. The videos are saved on the micro SD card and can be viewed in the app. This is better than the rest.

Set up was quick and painless, the bracket is screwed into place and the doorbell pops into it, to remove you do need a key, but a paper lip would work in a pinch. This is the second wireless doorbell I’ve had and the ieGeek totally out performs my previous one.

*there is an SD card slot, so no paying for cloud service.
* App is pretty straight forward
* Clean picture in both night vision and daytime

There really aren’t any cons for this, in comparison to other wireless door bells it’s on the better end for sure.

ieGeek is dependable:
The camera works exactly as their other camera products. I know when I purchase an iegeek product setup will be simple and I can expect things to work. I like that they provide an option of sd and you only need a subscription if you want cloud storage. This subscription model that does not block basic features (like many competing camera ecosystems) is the reason I prefer iegeek products.

Image Quality:
The doorbell camera works great in the day. At night, it can struggle if there is contrast in the image (for instance, a porch light nearby can make shadows too dark to really discern detail) - so just make sure to set it on Full HD rather than Standard Definition. See the image in this review - this is worst case scenario which still performs quite well! Overall, it does its job. I also appreciate that they provide you with two options for installation: screws or wall tape. I used the tape and it has held up without issue.

Doorbell Functionality:
The doorbell has about a 2 second delay from the point of pressing the button and it ringing but this in no way impacts functionality in my opinion. Just something to be aware of. The doorbell camera uses rechargeable battery whereas the little speaker that you place inside your home to play the doorbell sound uses 3 AAA batteries.

Final Thoughts:
I would recommend this product to people who value (1) live video streaming without time limits, (2) simple setup, (3) do not need the absolute highest night video quality. I am highly likely to continue purchasing iegeek products in the future.

The camera is compact yet functional. It came with batteries and super easy to set up. The chime has adjustable volume. indicator, and you can even set your own ringtone! It is microSD storage (saves money!!) and also rechargeable battery! Can leave live messages and there is a video playback option on the app! Overall great product for the price and highly recommended for everyone!

This is my second iegeek product. I also own a outdoor security camera that I really like. This video door bell works great and looks good. It is well built and was easy to connect to the network via the app and the instruction manual. The app itself is very well made, I access it pretty frequently for my camera, and it is easy to use. I am yet to install it on the door. It comes with bracket and hardware for installation. I noticed the same great video and audio quality in my trials (day/night) that I have gotten used to due to the camera. The app rings instantaneously when the door bell is rang and it is very easy to answer. There are many settings to customize. The indoor chime, voice changer, ringtones and volume options are great features to have. I expect the battery to last a while before having to recharge based on my experience with the camera (3mos on full charge with quarter charge still left, despite cold weather!). Alexa self detected it though I am yet to explore it there. Overall I am very happy with this doorbell and find it to be a great addition to my home security.

This ieGeek Video Doorbell is a great addition to my suite of security cams! It is a well made, very sturdy camera! It was easy to set up with a couple of Android apps to choose from. The video and image quality is very clear FHD! I'm still learning some of the settings. Installation was also easy! I've already shared a link to my friends and family. The only thing I'd like to see is some different mounts for the camera. But I was able to make my own! Thank you ieGeek!

I replaced another door bell camera that often went off line and difficult to reconnect. It also was not compatible with Alexa which is the reason I purchased this camera. I also like that it has a 5v accessible port on the side as I have it plugged into an outside power source connected to an outside light so I can recharge it as needed. It was easy to connect to Wifi and link with Alexa. So far I am pleased with it and can view on my Echo device. It is mounted on an outside brick was some distance away from the router. The chime connected easily and doesn’t require a 5v like the previous unit and is more flexible as to where it can be placed.

I love these cameras. I had to order them because people were stealing packages from the building and my neighbor's doorbell camera caught them on cam, but her doorbell camera image was so pixelated that it didn't really catch them. So I bought these because People's reviews showed that the images were clear. That is absolutely the case. I can also talk to whomever is at the door and I can change my voice to Darth Vader or some clown on helium or I can use my regular voice. The voice changer I think is to help disguise the fact that you know maybe somebody lives alone or is a single woman or what not. Not sure but it works great. I don't need a subscription just SD cards which was another reason why I bought these particular doorbells by this particular brand. I bought two one for my front door and one for my back door. The back door has been out there and gotten rained on a lot... So far so good. It comes with an extra individual chime ring that can put anywhere in my house for whenever anybody rings the doorbell if I want additional notification sound that someone's at my door. Personally I think that the phone ring is enough, but I live in a two-bedroom apartment. I highly recommend this doorbell camera by this brand. Very well made. Buy these if you take having clear images seriously when you're trying to catch people who are trying to steal from you or break into your home or whatever reason you bought them for. Oh btw... This is the first review I've ever written for anything... Ever.

Image quality is great, and the app is very responsive. When you press the button, your phone will start ringing informing you that someone is at the door and it even shows a screenshot of what the camera sees so that way you can tell who's there. I really like that. Is voice changer options in the app, it just adds a little bit more security.

Alright so I’ve had this doorbell camera for a little over a month now and I absolutely love it. The setup was extremely easy and took only between 5-10 minutes. I love that I comes with the option to use the glue tabs to stick it onto your desired surface. I’m a 22 year old girl who own zero tools of any sort so that option truly was a life saver.
The doorbell it comes with on the other hand doesn’t have any glue tabs or mounting items but that honestly wasn’t an issue for me I just placed it on a shelf in a location I’m generally always near. Doorbell comes with 3 different chime options so that’s nice. I will say it’s got a good sound range if you live in a smaller or medium sized home but if it’s extremely large it might be hard to hear the doorbell throughout the home.
The app itself is extremely easy to use and makes answering doorbell calls very easy. You have the option to pay for the cloud service which allows for long periods of recording when the camera is activated (service cost is actually pretty cheap but I’m a broke college student). If you opt out of using the service they still allow you 6 seconds of recording when the motion sensor goes off which honestly is fine with me. The camera quality is also really good even the night vision is good.
Lastly the battery life!!!!! I’ve had it like I said a little over a month and I’ve only now had to charge it and it wasn’t even fully dead, it was at 16 or 17%. I’m sure the battery life would really range on how much activity you get around the door. I get around 10-20 (if not more) motion sensor alerts a day and the battery still lasted so long.
Overall I don’t have anything negative I can comment at all about the camera aside from the doorbell chime volume not being loud enough to hear around your house if it’s hugeee!

(Also pretty cute that I was able to get little clips of all my family members coming in and out of the house during thanksgiving)
